Yesterday, QE II PS pupils took part in a whole school focus day on creative writing led by Inkwing. Every pupil had the opportunity to engage in the creative writing process, experimenting with words ideas and imagination. The workshops supported the Creative Writing priority within our School Development Plan and built on the excellent literacy development work already happening in classrooms this year.
Pupils created imaginative poems inspired by dragons, demonstrating a strong use of alliteration, similes and powerful descriptive vocabulary. We were especially delighted to see pupils confidently sharing and performing their poems, showing enthusiasm and strong delivery skills.
