Workplace Windows

16th Oct 2025
Our Key Stage 2 pupils from P5, P6 and P7 had a fantastic first Workplace Windows visit of the year to Nugent Trailers on Wednesday.
We began our day with a delicious snack kindly provided by the Nugent team.  After that, the pupils were split into two groups: one group explored the factory while the other got hands-on attaching parts to trailers.
The pupils were amazed by the robotic welder in action, fascinated by the cranes that could effortlessly move heavy materials and intrigued by how the finished trailers were stacked and prepared for sale.  Everything looked so shiny and new!
The round off the day, we were treated to a lovely lunch and each pupil received a goodie pack to enjoy on the journey home.  The hospitality warmth shown by Nugent made the experience even more memorable.
Now it's back to the classroom where the pupils are putting their inspiration into action by designing their own trailers.  After the planning stage, some chose to work in pairs while others are working independently -developing teamwork, problem solving and creative thinking skills along the way. Already, the designs are looking fantastic.  A massive thank you to everyone at Nugent for making us feel so welcome and for providing such an informative and inspiring tour of your business.
